    So this guy insists that a shortage of trucks is not the problem, but his solutions are to loosen HOS and emissions regulations?

    What's wrong with the ports isn't a mystery if you drive for a living, ports don't work on Saturday or Sundays because of the unions.

    I'm conflicted on wether this is good or bad, on the one hand it causes supply issues but on the other hand I don't have to deal with can haulers on those days.

    the issue is those ports don’t work 24/7 like majority of the worlds ports do. The other issue is since there is a backlog Us ports, and they are dead set against automation and dead set against expanding operations.


    When longshoreman are making 190k a year you would be dead set against letting more employees in to reduce the work load.

    O/O's and company drivers however aren't enjoying the Parking shortage after 8pm at most truck stops.
