Friends, my heart is heavy today.
Over the past 2 days, I've seen 3 trucks wrecked, 2 which I'd be happily surprised if the driver's lived.
    Those were flatbed trucks.
    Both tractors were destroyed.
First looked like they feel asleep at the wheel and drifted into the median.
Second looked like a4 wheeler caused them to swerve to avoid them and paid the price.
I may not know you enough to recognize you at a truck stop, but, as a fellow driver, I love you as my family.
Please be safe as possible out there.
    Shiny side up.

in my 48 years, i have not only seen more wrecks of any type of vehicle, but i have seen body parts strewn on the highways, and ditches. i have seen decapitated heads, torsos ripped from the lower part of the bodies, and crushed heads.

more blood at any accident scene than a thousand first responders have seen.

you can preach all you want about "being careful", and i can assure you this crap will continue well into the 23rd century.

for as many reasons why, as there are the population of China.

    Ain't no preaching bud.
Just feeling low seeing such things.
Saw yet another yesterday. Van went over a ditch into a treeline. Tractor was crushed, trailer looked okay.
    Still makes me sad.

No, I run local in Chattanooga. Been in snow twice. Can't say I liked it much.
Took it real slow and easy, gentle on the throttle, and rolled easy till I got to asphalt. Snow and ice aren't real common this far south. It's a major reason I live here. Not a fan of that stuff having grown up in it.

    you're only seeing wrecked vehicles.

wait till you start seeing body parts strewn all across the roadway, and puddles of blood.

you'll have nightmares, and you'll never be able to "un see" what you saw..

I've seen it. Saw a decapitated head lying about 10 feet away from the body in the center median of I-80 just east of Reno. I've never had nightmares about it, but it's definitely something you'll remember for the rest of your life.

While I realize these things happen, I cannot say it wouldn't mess me up bad to see such things.
I am thankful I haven't seen anything like that.
    Yet.
    I pray I never do.

Body parts, white sheets with red spots, burnt corpses, welcome to the highway.

That’s why I truck. I wanted a front row seat.
It’s the same reason people watch auto racing. To see the car crashes.

i pray you never see any of it either. but odds are, some day (or night) you will given the miles you drive yearly.

    i think it's inevitable.
