I guess my tire problem is kinda trivial compared to his issues.

LOL, "no idea how they got to work", dang I remember thinking that too. I still have all those big city maps and atlas's in a couple of cardboard boxes, loads of 'em, but no need for 'em anymore. My notebooks for directions in to places are long gone. I do wish I woulda had a cell phone back then though, woulda made things a little easier. Sometimes, the CB would get you directions in to a place, now, for the most part, no one talks to each other anymore. I liked those little fans. I can tolerate the heat pretty good if the air's circulating. I never drove a B model, but I did a F model. Winter time you'd freeze from the waist down and roast from the waist up in that thing. Drove R & U model Mack's for years. They were tough trucks...

I hated and still despise those dang fans..
I drove an r model mixer on the side for a few years. Had a Mack 5 speed and piggy back suspension. It felt like forever between gears and rode like hell! I do enjoy very much air ride, power steering and cell phones. I tossed all of my maps a few moves ago. The only one I have left is the new rand McNally laminated one. I still use it. Sometimes it fun to look back. I do miss alot of the old restaurants though.

I found my starter notebook before I got organized and started using index cards. Can't find my box of index cards anywhere, not that it would do me much good, most of the places I used to haul in and out of aren't there anymore. I'm dumbed down a lot now days too. I can't seem to remember exit numbers to save my life for some reason. Know where such and such is, but not a clue what number the exit is lol.
