I installed a tarp switch in my truck for dump, and now my gauge cluster won’t work. Won’t turn on at all, won’t sweep. The screen lights up but it is blank, and 4 random lights are blinking in top corner (right turn signal, R, N) Will try replacing my batteries and cleaning grounds today. Any ideas??

remove that recently installed switch, and see itf it all works again, and make sure too, to check all fuses and relays/circuit breakers.

Yea I tried removing the switch and it’s still doing the same thing. It comes with its own circuit breaker so I’m assuming I didn’t short anything.

seems like it’s just the gauge cluster effected. Radio/ head lights etc still work. Truck still starts.

if everything worked, BEFORE you installed that switch, and now it doesn't...??

you shorted something out. so you cannot assume you didn't do anything wrong.

you hot wired it into something you shouldn't have, maybe..?????

Definitely possible. I was thinking perhaps one of the grounds isn’t getting a good connection anymore or something of the sort. Or maybe the battery is weak? They’re older batteries. Just trying to think of the easy stuff first

kinda coincidental the grounds went bad, after you wired it up, but they were ok, before you wired it up.

if you never touched the ground wires to begin with, then i'd surmise you shorted something out.

good luck, i have nothing else.

    Ross_Tech Thanks this.
