At a time when the ball should be in your court to push wages up car haulers settle for dry van rates. I don't expect a flattering response here but we are nearing the point per hour worked McDonald's is looking like a good job.

Im curious as what is the current state of carhauling business? With the supply chain issues, I see very few car haulers lately, relative to a year ago.

There are probably two many on the road rates have gone down 10 years. And manufacturer are trying to cut further. This is what you get with everyman for himself there are probably fewer than 6000 union car haulers. And they been giving back for years. When I see united road paying $40 per unit local Manheim to dealer, I say it's over. I rarely work and I prefer it that way. I'd rather be broke than be a slave.

I just took a job pulling a dump bucket I'm done.. The car lots around here are barely a quarter full no inventory. Last time I picked up in State Line Auction (my closest auction to the house) it was like a ghost town.

I haven’t had a load out of there for them in three months.
Thank god I’m still busy with my longtime snowbird customers.
