A friend just posted on Facebook that the new US 35 has opened this weekend. It took them a while to get it done, but for those that will travel it, I’m sure it’s nice. For those who live on the old 2 lane section, I’m sure it’s a godsend. Last I was through there, the traffic was horrible.

 

I went through there earlier this week, and it wasn’t open but looked to be close.

 

Rolled through there a week or so ago and it looked like they were just getting close to connecting the ends at that point. Will be nice for everyone to move so much traffic off that two lane road. For both drivers and locals.

 

That will be nice not having to hear the drivers behind me whining over the CB cuz Im only going the speed limit anymore....

 

35 is now open, I just came across there yesterday.

 

Still gotta take the old road if you wanna stop at the porn store.

 

Day already starting off with a bang. Got a multi-stop load, with the first delivery being to a Restaurant Depot in North Charleston, SC. Two or four pallets go here, then off to another warehouse 10 minutes down the road to unload more stuff, then off to Miami (ugh) to have the last of it unloaded tomorrow.

Except that the Restaurant Depot isn't expecting me. Apparently if I'm not on their schedule, then the actual employees here won't unload me. They have a lumper who *may* unload me. Or he may not. He's not here yet, so we don't know. If he doesn't want to unload me, that's going to throw the entire rest of the load into chaos.

I'm already late for the next appointment. Was supposed to be at 8:00am, but it's 8:30am and their lumper hasn't put in an appearance yet.

 

Got held up at Givens yesterday so I couldn't make 0900 appt for hyster-yale in Berea, Ky this morning and DM get messaging everybody yesterday and today and no answer until I get here 1430 and finally somebody changed it to 1530 today. Hope they really rescheduled that and didn't just pencil in. Will see come 1530.....

 

Now with less witnesses… lol
