    I think in '16,
There was a mid to latter 20's Woman at X 175 west bound I-40,
    Lonoke (?), AR.
She was wantin' to git to Calif., but i was going to DFW.
She had a sleepin bag and a thick suitcase.
She stated "anything west would be better", even X 7, I-30.
She slept to drop off point.
Flying J, unloaded passenger and split that scene.

    Weird part:
She looked like a dead ringer of an older Lady neighbor. shuda snapped a pic.
She was the second unregistered passenger.

1st was a previous year or 2 where a Soldier needed a ride from Nobles Truck Stop, x 5, I 20, GA. to Birmingham, Al., to get up with his Father.
Got out at the wrong exit yet directions gave almost exact specs.
Dropped him at a small T.S.

"Reading People" is an art form yet sometimes the "print is smudged".
Those were my only 2 "passengers" in 20 years.

I hitchhiked to Alaska , got picked up by a truck in Coutts MT , needless to say we jack knifed in Laird River BC , the truck was destroyed, we twisted the bell housing off the engine.
Needless to say his boss got me to Anchorage by bus , trip of a lifetime , would i do it again , hell yes.

Not usually. It depends on the person.
Recently, I was going into a store and some woman asked me for some money for cigarettes. I don't carry cash so I offered her a pack of cigarettes from a carton I had with me... without hesitation she asked if they were un-opened...

WTF... If you are worried about "spiked" cigarettes then maybe it's time to go do something else with your life.

It's not a yes or no question.

When I was a rookie, I had a woman talk her way into a ride using basically a Jedi mind trick. I was like 23 and didn't even know how it had happened.

I told her I just had to go grab the truck, and I'd pull around to get her. My truck was a mess with my stuff, so I just needed to clean up a little before she even LOOKED at my truck.

She said she had to use the restroom, then she'd meet me at the truck.

    I left. Lol
