So finally after 4 months my truck is getting delivered next week and i already have few people offering me crazy money to sell it to them . One of the guys that i know is willing to buy it 30k over what i payed. 50 to 60k profit doesnt sound bad as the new ones are going for 250 right now. Did Anyone els did this buy and flip in this market ? How much you pocketed and was it worth selling your custom made baby?.
For anyone wondering its a legendary blue 389 with white frame with blue vinyl running through the frame . 565 hp with 1850 tq and 13 speed .full gauge package with texas style bumper and 78 inch high roof sleeper with platinum interior. And every bell and whistle
Should i sell my brand new 389

You should ...lot of guys purchase 389 or w900 for pride ...not for flip
alds, Badmon, feldsforever and 4 others Thank this. -
Do u need the truck? Sell it while its hot. Take the profit while u can get it. Can always buy another new truck.

I guess the biggest question is do you actually need the new truck, you can make money flipping it, but once it’s sold it’s gone

I just saw a 2022 T-680 sell at auction for a touch over $300k
Don’t leave any money on the table if you’re serious about selling it.
I got another identical 389 being built in January..probably have to wait a couple months more for them to complete it though.
Be careful because Peterbilt is cutting their production way back next year. It will be very difficult getting another one if you sell.Geronimo17, MOBee, shooter19802003 and 3 others Thank this. -
Honestly if you already have a working 2016 that fits your needs i would flip the new truck take the 30-60K profit you make and just invest in a complete inframe and full emissions service upto and including new DPF. Hell you could even do a full like for like engine swap for 50k including wireing harnesses and pull any hard to get but working parts like sensors off as spares from the old engine and have what is esentially a brand new truck for a small fraction of what the new rig goes for.
