Hello

Hey everyone, currently working towards getting my CDL A, actually going this week to take my last two endorsement exams (P and S) and then it’s just the wait until my road test. I’ve been lurking for awhile and figure I’d finally create an account.

I guess I’m one of the solo license types; no schooling and no career training, I just decided to start the process one day even though I’ve been thinking about it for awhile I’m just now really burning through the process. Currently driving a old flat bed around when I’m able to in order to get some wheel time and prep for the dmv.

HME done, TWIC appt scheduled for mid jan. Although I don’t have the certificate behind me I do have some ways to drive, and hopefully with some help I will be able to secure a temporary type of position, weekends only type of deal. I work full time as it is, just really looking to test this all out before I go all in.

Sorry, maybe I should have said endorsement instead of exam but I was talking about passenger and school bus. Not that I really want to be hauling people around but I figured it might open some temporary spots while I’m trying to gain some actual paid experience. After you said it I realized other states might be different so who knows, but in NJ there’s also T double/triple, H hazmat, and N tanker endorsements. I’m just looking to have an unrestricted license in the end.
