Just bought this truck and the previous owner didnt use it for a year, he started it every once in a while but thats it, the truck struggles to start, sometimes it will start right away, other times it can take 10 attempts, after a few tries the sign warn. Engine will show on the screen, any ideas on what should i do, i just did full service and replaced all filters.

Have you tried plugging in the block heater overnight and trying it in the morning? If it starts right up after the block heater has been plugged in then I would start chasing down a glow plug issue

Of course it needs to be fully serviced
All the fluids. Who knows when the trans and such were serviced. Fuel filters could be full of algae. If tank was not full and vehicle parked with biodiesel. The condensation will feed the algae. Biodiesel is hydroscopic. Meaning it’s like brake fluid and will absorb moisture from the atmosphere.Lite bug Thanks this. -
If you’re in a cold climate and it still has summer fuel in tank that could affect it a bit. Is it only when cold or even when it’s warm that it has issues starting.

Sitting a year is tough on anything and there could be a few problems. Could be the ground wires. I had mine recently corrode and break. For a while before it would drag trying to start sometimes and fire right up other times. I’d check there.
