They claim the booster helps a lot with the Omnicron strain. They claim it’s 20x more contagious, but not as severe. All I know is it’s pretty common here. It has spread quickly. They claim most cases are Omnicrom. People lining up for tests in the suburbs are positive 20% so far. Detroit’s at 35% positive rate of those being tested. That’s not counting those not being tested. No telling, if 35% is a good sampling. I’m guessing might be 50% in Detroit are infected. Not sure how those samplings reflect the whole population. A good portion of citizens have no transportation, most being tested don’t have symptoms. Just want to know. I won’t debate. To each his Own. My daughters taking it very seriously. She has Type 1 diabetes. Works in a hospital, with children. Anytime Someone she has worked with is diagnosed, she has to be tested. As for Me, I’m wearing a mask in stores with a lot of people again. Everyone here is, pretty much. It’s a minor inconvenience at most.

 

Same goes for a cold, flu, and such, but we use common sense, not a test. I went to Papa's yesterday, helped him plow snow, and had a visit. I kept back about 10' and stayed outside, because of my cold. Same applies to the flu, which I've had several of in my 31 years.

 

On another note. I think Moose is scheduled today maybe? I wish him best. Took my BP yesterday at Walmart. It was high twice. Took a nitro pill, waited a minute. Felt the headache. Retested and BP was perfect. I never take them, no chest pain. My Dr. always looks puzzled when I tell him. Not all symptoms are the same. All I had was a reflux type discomfort, lasting about 20 minutes. Then very tired arms, in a relieving way. Anyway just thought I’d pass it along. I went 4 days getting the attacks 2-4 times a day. Wonder I didn’t die. 100% blockage, having another heart attack, when I got to Emergency. Typical symptoms don’t always apply. I think Moose will be OK. Stents before damage to the heart is key. Damaged heart muscle means less energy, heart failure. Best to avoid that if possible.
