Depends on the area, Company and openings. I like Mom and Pop outfits…gives you a chance to negotiate stuff like that. But search in your area, apply and see what you can make shake.
I think @Chinatown may have mentioned in another thread somewhere there’s a lot of chemical work out that area as well. -
Nolandia1 Thanks this.

Another thing that’s depressing is the no phone policy at Sysco while driving even on Bluetooth! I wonder if Abf has this same policy. My last company allowed you to at least speak on the phone using Bluetooth.
Zonno Thanks this. -

It really depends on your goals. If you need to make a lot of money quickly and build up some savings, there’s nothing wrong with staying with Sysco for at least a few months, if not a year. The fact that you’ve already made it 2 weeks without quitting is a sign that you can probably handle the work.
On the other hand, ABF is a great company to work for in the long term, and has excellent benefits. If you’re at a point in life where you’re ready to find a company you can eventually retire from and/or you could really use some good health insurance, then you should take a shot at ABF.The Shadow, ozzyoztrucker, ColoradoLinehaul and 3 others Thank this. -
ABF has a pension, but they only pay 19ish in my neck of the woods. They do pay OT at 8 hours.
Sysco will force you to get vaccinated if they’re legally allowed in your stateNolandia1 Thanks this. -
