Get to ABF stat. That’s a union job, 100% fully paid benefits, excellent pay, $100K+ a year, no driver facing camera.

    Sysco is a trash company.

You can always tell a lot about the company, when you pull in and every employee you come across
just has a real bad attitude. Sysco Is one of those companies.

Depends on what job you applied for. Linehaul is terminal to terminal drop and hook. P&D is delivering to businesses.

I am a food service guy. The money is decent, there are better ways to make a living. I stick with food service because I get a feeling of accomplishment when I finally get that trailer unloaded. When I drove OTR, it was just bumping docks, and I didn't get the same satisfaction out of it.

Is food service worth it? For me yes, but I understand that many say no.

Apparently at ABF you temporarily lose your healthcare benefits if you dont work for 3 consecutive days but get them back following a full work week. Seems like that could really screw someone over. Management at ABF are ######## but being union just be cool with your union stewart and you all good

I have a hard time believing that would actually take place. But if it’s for a set amount of time would you consider working a local dump or something or even one of the staffing companies for drivers for those weeks or months? Just a suggestion. ABF is all good things from what I’ve heard

I’d go to ABF in a heartbeat. Had I known they’d still be in Business now, I would have went there 30 yrs ago. I would be retired now. There’s no guarantees anywhere. They could go out of Business yet. So can others. Everything changes in Trucking. With ABF you’ll have some pension either way. Even if it’s only 10-15 yrs. The other Job opportunities will always be there. Nows the time to get a foot in the door at any Job that someone wants to keep long term. It’s not always so easy.

That's what the TM told me when I interviewed. I passed. It was going to be P&D only because they did not run linehaul out of that terminal. They came from another terminal every night and grabbed them. Between the lay offs and p&d I passed. But I wouldn't do Sysco either lol. Id go to ABF before I had to hand unload all that for similar money.
