Chains happen.

All chains on, trooper pulls up and says “you don’t need them, we’re taking down the requirement.” Looked at the truck, looked at the trooper and said “thanks.” He pulled up and shut the sign off.

 

Ice/snow storm shut down Birmingham a few years ago. Was on my way in to deliver. Pulled into the lot at about 11:00 am. Call receiver, “Hey, I am in your lot, there’s no one here.” Receiver, “we’re closed due to the storm.” Me, “what time will someone be in tomorrow?” Receiver, “ Uhhhh, will be closed, no one can get there.”
Me, Wow, I got here, didn’t seem that bad. So when can I expect to get this unloaded and delivered?” Receiver, “probably Friday.” Me “Ok, have to call the office and let them know about this.” Storm was on Sunday and stopped mid-day Monday, the conversation was on Wednesday.

 

That’s crazy. My word.
