Dave it's a great shooting weapon. When I first got mine and took it out to the range would aim for center mass shots and get head shots and would shoot about 8 to 10 inches higher then targeted at 20 ft. I had to get a firing range instructor to teach me not to anticipate the recoil and not push it up. He had me fire it with a few bullets taken out of it and I would flinch up to a click. After a few times of being embarrassed got it under control. Changed out the grips to oversized Pachmayr grips.
What if it Snows?

Which does bring up a question regarding barrel length. When I bought mine it was speced at 18 1/8 barrel length because the barrel had to be over 18" or were not considered hunting guns. Has that rule changed since the mid '80s?
And what are the rules now?Eldiablo, InTooDeep, Rideandrepair and 3 others Thank this. -
