Looking For Shop That Does Engine Swaps

    I am hoping someone can help me find a reputable shop that does engine swaps. The closer to Illinois the better. The truck will be '99 or older. I will be installing a 3406e or c-15 paired with an eighteen speed. I have found a few donor trucks that I will sell the engine and trans that comes with it, but I am having no luck finding a shop to do the swap. Any help would be appreciated.

    My mechanic - Garners Diesel in Duenweg, MO (just outside Joplin) has done several 'glider' type builds and engine swaps. Call and talk to Shawn. Just search for Garners Diesel - Thunder road, Duenweg,MO.

    What part of Illinois are you wanting to do this ? .. I know a shop south of Rockford that might do it.. but their not gonna mess with some plastic curb sniffer.. they only play with KW or Pete hoods

    Did you try River Valley Truck Repair? I57 truck and Trailer Service? Theirs a place in gibson city and pontiac can't remember their names.

    No I haven't. I didn't really think of them as a "custom" shop. BUT you are correct. I should at least call and ask them. Thank you, those are good ideas to try.
