I just rolled through southern Georgia today and Lowndes county is still hard at work, fleecing the tourists.

These citizens need to really look at who is running for mayor and city council.
Find people that would push for accountability.

Sometimes you really ask yourself if the police are worth supporting with that thin blue line stuff.

Some deserve a thin blue line around their neck. The corruption in American policing is unreal. Yes there are terrific officers out there doing amazing community policing, but by all indications they're outnumbered by the indolent and those who turn a blind eye to a fellow officer's crimes.

I liked the symbolism of the thin blue line as a hanging rope but figured something had to go with it.

There were three towns on the 301 corridor south of I-10 that were famous for their traps. Probably the most famous was Lawty. There were many stories about fed interference a few years ago. The most popular was feds said 301 is a US highway and you have to warn of a lowering speed limit or sacrifice federal road funds. The speed limit lowers to 30mph without warning. Also a part of the lore is the large billboard warning of the speed trap had to be paid for by the town. Probably half truths.

This town is perfect for a DOJ/FBI sting operation to clean it up. And another question is why haven't the locals voted the leaders out of office?

    Especially in Hahira! lol
Tift County (especially the City of Tifton) has a reputation of being a bunch of crooked MF’s as well.

Isn't it strange how those that are given power & authority abuse it to no end.

Only a certified peace officer can issue a citation. Witch means a ticket issued by a camera is null and void. There are several municipalities that have got rid of there red light cameras. But a few still stands on that B/S way of ticketing. But im you goes to court a pushes the issue. The charge should be dropped.

However it was truly screwed up to me. Just as many cities started do get rid of red light cameras. Many law departments started getting the plate reading cameras that alerts them if that car doesn't have insurance.
