How would you handle this situation other than taking the company to small claims court? I want to create as much drama as I can for the company that ripped me off $1,500

Yeah that's terrible, and the nerve to make you pay for a hotel out of pocket!

I can't believe that it went all the way up to the general manager before anyone began to take you seriously. What did they say about you being unhappy about your co-driver?

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

I wouldn't waste a second, you have little recourse, and a stern lesson should be learned here. You can't win, don't try. Put it in the rear view mirror, and move on. So many great companies to work for, small claims won't do anything and best to put this unpleasantness behind you. I don't think TTR allows the company name, but the "innernet" is huge, and a bad review goes a long ways today.

Well, the site was created to Report on companies by Truckers, so yea. They have no problem naming name. No personal information, but company names are fine.

    201 and truckdriver31 Thank this.

We allow the company name. In the interest of fairness we also allow the company to make a response.

Well file a small claims anyway. Then they will have to send somebody to court on the day your case is called. Oh well if you dont show up, judge will either continue or dismiss it.

I once had a Company owe me $3,000. I called them every day, on their 800#, so did my wife. It took about a week. Finally the Owner got on the phone, complaining about the calls. I told him I’d already filed complaints in Ohio and Michigan Labor Departments. Told him my wife and I would keep calling every day till I’m paid. It worked. Once I mentioned the Department of Labor. I was bluffing though, hadn’t made any complaints.
