I have 10 trucks and I have been invited to join the JB Hunt O/O plan. Just wondering if there are any O/O`s out there that might already be pulling their trailers and would just like to know how things are working out? :biggrin_255:

is this running your authority with their trailer, or leasing on to them?

My own authority pulling their trailer. I am planning on trying 1 or 2 and see how it works out.

Thanks Jdrentzjr. I would like to hear from some of the O/O`s that have experienced JB. Hopefully I will hear from some of them later and get some of their thoughts(good or bad).

I can only speak from my experience with them. They will tell you about all the loads they have and how you'll run steady. I put one truck on with them and in just short of three weeks got a total of 2400 miles including deadhead, with not quite 1900 in revenue. You do the math. Once I got the truck within 200 miles I had the driver deadhead back. There was NEVER a load planned for the next dispatch, always wait a day or two, deadhead 300-400 miles to pick up a load going another 300 miles and delivering in two days.

You know I have heard mixed stories on this. A guy that lives near me had 2 trucks and put both of them on with JB. running under his authority, pulling their trailers. He has since bought another truck and put it on the same deal.

He claims they are getting 2500 + miles per week, averaging 1.30 per mile for all miles. He seems to be happy with that.

    You know how stories go.
