Thank you. Now it’s time to head out. Reset is up, 615 miles of driving today and one drop to kick off. Safe travels all!

Nice that they did that, but were they thinking of helicoptering in some supplies?

Gotta love Haji....got stuck behind one going down 77 and couldn't pass for a good bit cuz he was weaving back and forth and couldn't keep it straight, on three lane sections he was right down the middle of the two right lanes. Finally got around him after Beckley. Going down flat top he comes hauling behind down letting gravity take over and sure enough that knucklehead was weaving and ran me right off the road and I laid on the airhorn but he kept on going not a care weaving down the hill.....they really need to crack down on those idiots somehow....

Got my first drop off in Spokane yesterday after starting my day at 0300. 84 from Baker City to Pendleton was dry and dusty except for some blowing snow at Ladd Canyon. Apparently they couldn’t get the freight from the 2 dozen trucks that spilled their freight all over 84 hauled away at the accident site and it was piled along the shoulder at the 230mm.

Made it down to the Loves in Madras Oregon and took my extended 10 there. Got up this morning with 28 miles to the drop, and left in the snow. On my way down to Prineville, I sent a text in to my DM regarding my reload. I was told the planner was working on it. Here’s my response…….

“Working on it? Apparently not hard enough? I'm in the middle of nowhere Oregon, snowing all around me. Closest truck stop is 28 miles from here. I need to leave this place as there's no room for me to stay. The roads are snow covered. I'm heading to the Loves in Madras. I just hope it's in the right direction for a reload. 7 days under this load, 2 resets and he's just now looking for a load. Outstanding.”

Needless to say, I get a phone call from my DM telling me the planner is booking a load in Portland. Good, now at least I have a direction to head. 145 miles of snow packed roads, empty, up, around, over and through Mt. Hood. Made it to my pick up, got loaded in an hour, drove down the street to Jubitz, scaled out, (77K), legal and now going to bed. At least now I have weight behind me instead of 2900 pounds. Tuesday delivery in Jacksonville Florida.

Dang you get coast to coast loads a lot? Benefit of being a senior driver there?

Benefits of being JB. (Sorry, JB, you know it’s true!) Seriously though-He works hard for his money. Does what other drivers won’t-run the PNW in the winter when he doesn’t have to. His work ethic wouldn’t allow for anything less. Definitely give him props for that.

I do hope they throw some layover pay your way for all the headache this load has caused.

Always an interesting drive in Memphis where they drive like mad lunatics on cocaine or speed or some other go fast drug....passed a house with a car that rolled over a few times smashing into house looking like it was running from the cops parked there, passed a another couple cars being searched for drugs.....finally get to the gatorade warehouse and look to see if any cars coming before I drive down the left side to make the right turn into the place so I don't tear the fence down with my trailer and here comes a jacked up pickup hauling arse behind me not even slowing down while Im about to turn into the gateway and speeds right down my right side and I stop and blare the airhorn and he skids to a stop, why bother now buddy as you are past me anyways now.....warehouse workers come out to see what was going on since they were on a break and they all shake their heads at what the pickup just did to me. No concept of a big truck needing to swing wide for right turns.....
