So I finally took some home time after being Out for almost 4 months and now that I’m ready to get back to work my company is giving me the runaround about putting me in another truck I’m pretty sure they are trying to make me go team which is not going to happen. At the moment I have almost $20,000 saved up so I’m in a pretty good financial situation and I still would like to move to the Midwest preferably Indiana Missouri or Illinois. I was wondering does anyone know of any smaller companies hiring in the Midwest region. My goal is to have a small apartment out there by the end of the spring someplace where I can shut down at every few weeks because my days of going OTR for months at a time are over. I’m in Connecticut atm But I am definitely open to travel and relocating

Illinois taxes are too high.
Here's a company in Missouri to consider:

Volvo 760 and Cascadia Evolution
The Volvo is sweet and really set up for driver comfort.

At this point in time, imho is not the time to job hop in the trucking industry. With fuel prices spiraling out of sight, if this trend continues, the economy has a very good chance of sliding into the crapper. The first drivers to get laid off are the recent hires.
