I hate to tell you but those 2002 rates haven't changed much...if anything lower. 5mouths might be able to tell what they charge for %. I don't know but I'd hate to think of getting even less of what they are paying. Kansas might know too.

Some would tell you to go for it, I don't know. I really don't try and discourage anyone from becoming a O/O... but if I was making 55,000 and home every night it would be a tough call to make.

    HwyPilot and 7mouths2feed Thank this.

I'm paying 10% trailer. 10% broker, 5% lease and 2% factoring. For the moment.:biggrin_25525: FSC is virtually non existant:biggrin_25511:.

Crop Jocky as tempting as it is I'd have to say I would stay with the company.

Thanks 5mouths to feed. The true facts are hard to swollow its funny ive spent the last 7 years paying off credit card debt and recovoring from a divorce. That was the reason i had to sell out trucking buisness had my own authority and one truck and two grain wagons with a lease operator pulling for me. I told myself when i get out of debt im getting back into the buisness lol well debts paid off and trucking is in a slump lol nice reward huh lol.

Trucking will recover...you're young enough you can get back in. Don't give up on getting a truck just delay it a little while.

naw, wheathauler, hauled 2 loads of corn and 1 load of beans with 2 loads back this week.but to be honest,i was o.k. with that, been helping dad and my son around here since the cold hit, they have been swamped with 1st calf heifers calving and they are dealing with frost bitten udders,so its been taking them a little more time to do everthing

i tell you what, though,i think rates are easi'n back up a bit around here :biggrin_255:,iv'e had a few calls to haul beans for March del. and they are better than i expected. maybe the worst is over:biggrin_2554:,at least thats what i keep telling myself:biggrin_2559:
