    Great news
I am glad that you are smart enough to recognize that you need a bit more confidence before venturing out of your comfort zone.
Pay attention to other loads and how they are secured and think of how you would improve on how that driver did. Don't hesitate to take a pic of one and post it here if you have a question.
Remember there are trolls and clowns on here as well as those of us who will freely give you advice, whether you use it or not.
A few days or even weeks of doing what you are while studying other loads in truckstops will help you to get more comfortable with what is behind you and allow you to navigate and travel safely.

CAXPT, D.Tibbitt, goga and 1 other person Thank this.

Giving him #### since I'm still learning how to operate an 18 speed LOL. Used to be a joke with me and an old teacher I had from culinary school when he found out I was getting my CDL....he would always say "Well tell me where you're at, so I can stay off the roads" :!::!::laughing6::laughing6: Just gonna make him my new hood ornament :p;) Just kidding though!!

    CAXPT and Espressolane Thank this.

    Explain this please....lol

By the way....I've heard some people say to twist your strap I think like once, so they don't loosen or make noise but I've heard others say it doesn't make a difference for the noise or loosening up. But this was before I had an account on here.

So to all....what is your take on this?

Kyle G., CAXPT and Hammer166 Thank this.

Putting a half twist in a strap, generally keeps the strap from vibrating in the wind. The strap not vibrating can prevent product and strap damage.

LOL! Well... You can gauge strap tightness by how they sing when you pluck or tap them. You tighten a strap with six feet of winch bar, it's going to be rather high-pitched when it sings. A soprano, if you will.
