Washouts are a kick in the nards no matter where you're at. Nothing like burning $100 in fuel, and then paying $50 for a wash, while wasting a good half day getting it done. In a right world - companies would wash your trailer out once you got off-loaded. That, and free cheeseburgers LOL. Are you using NTTS to find your washouts?

Their is a washout in Ft. Smith, AR that chages $50 to wash out a hopper and $30 for an end dump. I ask him why the price difference and he said hoppers are a pain in the butt because you have to stand up on the ladder. I told him he needed to get two of those old ladders on wheels that they used years ago at the truckstops to clean windows on cabovers or build a walkway on both sides of the bay. It would make it easier and safer but I bet they won't ever do it.

It's been foggy here all day. The last three or four days actually. Highs were only in the 30's. Hauling is still slow so guess I will work on some other things.

It was foggy here most of the day also. The snow has mostly melted except where the big drifts were and the gravel roads and parking lots are a sloppy mess. Been hauling steady but feel like we're stuck in slow motion. Have a bin of our own corn to take to Cargill, they were open Monday but wouldn't take corn until after lunch, only got 4 loads there. Dad took 3 today then got shut off. Cargill, oh, wonderful Cargill.....:biggrin_25510:

Chance of freezing rain here tonight, hopefully it will miss us.

I have to unload in Chicago in the morning and they are talking about freezing rain tomorrow afternoon hopefully I will be in the southern part of Missouri by then. I ran into some thick fog last night and today. Two things I hate the most is thick fog and black ice.
