Kwik Trip, town pump, Cenex, Abbyland, or coffee cup. You know, down home places where you see professionals that have trucking in their heritage and don’t where sweats and fast food stained cloths.

I'm not surprised to see Loves leading by far. It's always the first to fill up as well. I like it for fresh fruit and veggies to snack on, and shower credits due to fueling there, but other than that, it's just your run of the mill cookie-cutter chain. Cram the parking lot full of second week Prime and Swift trucks, and chaos ensues during the dash to get the last spots.

The worst Loves? Heyburn/Burley, Idaho. Insanity, due to the design and pressure for parking near there.

You can tell a good truckstop when locals go there for dinner and hangout. Most of your big chain travel stops are just good for buying smokes, lottery ticket, or pan handling. No class and no personality. Truckstop back home I takeout the family for dinner there. I would be embarrassed if I took my family into a pilot or loves and they saw the classless, stinky, rude, and respect less drivers there.

Kwik Trip is my hands down favorite. Nice small places that typically have great food selection. Too bad they are only concentrated in a few midwest states.

I once mentioned to the woman attending a Town Pump, that I wished they were located elsewhere in the country. She was surprised that they weren't. I guess since there are so many in Montana that locals just figure they're everywhere. I always stock up on groceries at Town Pump.

Don't really have a favorite chain, it's more based on places I go and what's nearby.

The older I get, the only way you're ever going to see me in a truck stop is if I'm falling asleep or something is on fire.

If it's that much of an emergency, I will do Love's or Petro.

Oh, Kwik Trip and Town Pump weren't even mentioned, but they're hands down the winner as others have said.

I like your fantasy. Country filled with cheesy spuds, great deals on food, and down home folks.
