Not much emphasis on parking for the inside amenities. But overall, some improvements will be nice for the pilot crowd.

    mjd4277, D.Tibbitt and Trucker61016 Thank this.

And how many free spots will be transformed into paid parking to have us pay for the " new and improved Pilot" campaign I'm sure they'll bombard us with ??? "We're working hard to look less like a turd, for you "

mjd4277, Aamcotrans and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

This is how the Pilot in Sturbridge Mass looks now. Place was an absolute dump before so it's a serious improvement. Haven't been there in a few months so I'm sure it's trashed now. Sadly it doesn't matter how much money these mega trucks stops pit into themselves, today's drivers will have them destroyed in no time at all.

It looks nice, but all the money that they are putting into their truck stops and they couldn't include a sit down restaurant like Petro. They haven't changed, they want you in and out, spend your money and make room for the next guy.

    Oh Boy!!! :blob:

Maybe 20 seats for dining... maybe. Oh WITH charging though!
I noticed one row of shelving that looked like it had some trucking related items on it. Bulbs etc.
Didn't show any improved or added parking.
5 restroom lavatory/sinks... so, I ask... how many people are they expecting to stop here at any one given time? (again... additional parking?)
I noticed the roller dogs right in front & put the coffee behind.
I did see a lunch/deli kinda sorta thingy.... but I bet just like a Sub Way or MD's they'll have the same deli food items at every location, day after day.
Instead of adding fuel desk help... they removed them all. So, now, it'll be 2 or 3 times the wait for an employee to come back in the store from a 20 minute smoke break to help you when you don't get a receipt, or the screen goes blank, or it charges you twice or when a puff of smoke belches out of the self-check-out. Or....... when the frickin key pad on the pumps dont work or the pump itself dont work.... which has been out of order for 4 days already.

I really don't see an improvement of service. New flooring & wall paper.... but nothing of any value for a truck driver on-the-go or at the end of the day.

I thought they said they were "improving" our experience? I must have misunderstood.....

New & improved...! Yeah buddy! :blob:
