"Possible" means you'd be on your own to find something that works after the theoretical "possible" the recruiter had in mind doesn't work out because it never really existed. "Possible" is recruiter-speak for "nope."

Either one is going to be a good choice for a new driver, this is called taking your lumps to get into this industry just dont sign any lease purchase deals DO NOT DO IT.

I drove for Knight many years ago, I got my 6 months and moved on to bigger horizons.

Based on every conversation I've ever had with anyone who was/had worked for Prime, I'd say they were never a good choice for anyone. Knight always seemed to be OK for a starter job.

Refrigerated freight customers are the worst in the industry. Spend hours & hours & hours waiting for them to start loading/unloading. More hours waiting for them to finish. More hours waiting to find out how much they want you to pay. Then more hours waiting for them to return ypur paperwork. Plus listening to the trailer's reefer will cause you difficulty sleeping.

The reefer starting/stopping never bothered me being able to sleep. After I'd done it for a while I'd wake up in the middle of the night and realize I was awake because it hadn't cranked up for a while.

Otherwise you're spot on about loading at cold storage and farmer's co-ops and then delivering at grocery warehouses and food wholesalers. They're just as bad with dry van freight, too.

But beyond that, I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to drive for any of Prime's divisions. They're in the business of making money off of gullible recruits, not making money from hauling freight.

Thank you. With all that being said, What's your opinion on Port and Rail? Knight offers that and I can do it from my home town of Las Vegas. Thank you.

The question you've posted may be answered by you your own self if you'd answer to, again, you your own self - Are you willing to relocate? If yes, why and what you'd gain? If no, why considering something, that is non existent in your town?

My question pertains more to which company is better to work for. Staying local is nice, but not an absolute necessity for me.
