There are a number of places that load big coils with them.

I’ll put it this way. Another 30 miles east and you’ll be in the ocean.

Welcome to trucking. :) Make sure they pay you layover pay since it sounds like the broker's going to have to be good for the costs.
Don't spend too much at the Pilot, and keep an eye on your equipment. :)

In addition to what everyone else has mentioned, using an overhead crane allows them serious storage options and ease of manipulating the stock, coil on top of coil, several rows deep, that you can't get a hi-lo in. It's just not financially feasible and also isn't efficient for plant operations or product safety, as previously mentioned.

I’ve been trying to think where I used to load that used lifts. It finally hit me. It was at the port. I used to have a regular run picking up stainless coils and aluminum coils. They came from Germany and Russia. upload_2022-4-28_18-57-48.jpeg

Looks like a big crane stacking a tower. Was it brown?
FCB27A99-320A-4B63-B82A-FDEAD1E8199E.jpeg Been in that rodeo a few times. I miss those days. The cool part is actually working for a customer that knows what’s up around cranes. We used to stack a lot of towers for Shuster and it was almost always a breeze.
