I wouldn’t take the parking brakes off of a new one. They are out of control from that point on. You want to sit in them and hope for the best suit yourself.

What point? That a truck that you have no direct connection to the engine, brakes or transmission of is out of your control and you’re a passenger? Can’t argue with any of that. It is what it is.

You do know that the internals of an auto-shift is the same as a manual?

The ultrashift yes. DT-12, I-Shift and Endurant not so much. They are still automated manual transmissions with a clutch and such, but they aren't anything internally like a RTLO or whatever.

This sure went downhill (7%) fast. Drive what you want or are comfortable with. Or have to.

That doesn’t matter. There’s no “direct connection” to the transmission, therefore any form of automated transmission makes you less of a man. And apparently it also takes away any control you have of the throttle and brakes, which I was unaware of until I read this thread. Lol

Driver's aren't really known for sticking to the facts.. or self-reflection.

Wow, I guess I need to go find all my safe driving awards and toss them because I was not much of a trucker because I dared to make a few bucks driving an (oh the horror) auto-shift!
