I saw an SPD truck getting a ticket from MTO yesterday for using the FAST lane. This was near the cashbox for the Blue Water Bridge.

Yes you’re right they’re on to that game. Coming south out of KC if you get off at Lone Elm and go south to 159th street, go west past the rock quarries, then turn south on Clare and stay right at the fork to keep on Industrial Bypass. It’s all industry through there and not as obvious what you’re doin. You’ll pop out in Gardner and hook back up with I-35.

I got a ticket a couple months ago for a headlight out at 0430 in the morning. Cop told me he couldn’t figure out if my fuel truck was a truck or a motorcycle due to the headlight out. Apparently 30 marker lights and taillights aren’t enough to tell the difference. Then he wrote owner responsibility on the ticket and never had me sign it, but then proceeded to mail it to my address. I’m no fan of cops when it comes to truckin.

Looks like I'm advertising all the way to Henderson.

Unload in Memphis went good, so good in fact that I had to kill some time after getting empty to avoid Memphis's morning rush hour. Got to the ice cream plant and they were really busy. I had to wait in the street behind 2 trucks to get into line to check in at the guard shack, and they're still having staffing issues. Only one guard handling inbound and outbound truck traffic, and one person at the shipping window getting drivers their paperwork, but even short staffed, I was in and out fairly quickly. The biggest issue with picking up in Covington is, if you're heading west, there isn't a scale to check your weight between there and the Arkansas line without going out of route. Fortunately the I-40 Arkansas scales were closed. Managed to make it to within 1225 miles of Henderson, so, unless something goes wrong, I will be delivering 1st thing Monday. And I made it thru the OK scales on the east side of OK without a hitch, so I guess our debt to the OK weights and measures department has been paid . Plus my fuel solution is FUBAR on this load. Fill east of OKC, then put 60 gal in at Tucumcari, which means I will be down under 1/4 when I deliver. Guess I'll re-request a solution somewhere in AZ because they usually send me to Cali out of Henderson, which means fueling in the Vegas area so I can avoid having to fuel in Commiefornia.

I seem to be stuck in a Cali blackhole.

After delivering to San Diego and pu my next load going to Portland I got a preplan.

Right back down from the place I'm delivering, to the Cosco DC in LA for a live unload at 12pm. Had to decline that one due to me sleeping at the delivery time and now I wait to see what new apt time they send me.

Lol I’m glad to learn I’m not alone in the up and down the coast shuffle form time to time…I hope you reach escape velocity soon :)

Overnight they planned me on an Irvine, CA load, but it didn't pick up until 21:00, and delivered at 16:00 the next day. Which means I wait to deliver this load in tomorrow evening then drive vampire shift and hope I can find someplace in between that might have a parking spot to split log...or, deliver this load as planned, and wait until 9 or so to leave Henderson and drive down, and hope they didn't take all day to unload so I had enough time to head to somewhere north of there to find a parking spot...I choose option 3, decline the load because it was unproductive. 275 miles and I would have screwed up 2 days to run it. I am in the same boat waiting for my next load.

I bypassed my partial fill in Tucumcari and stopped for the night in Moriarty, then re-requested a new solution...and now I fuel at the Peelot where I parked for the night, and it's a fill, not a partial.

Mother nature gave me 2 seasons today. Left the truckstop east of OKC and saw spring and temps in the 50’s and fog. Between Tucumcari and Santa Rosa I got summer and was flirting with tripple digit temps, now here in Moriarty it's in the low 80's.
