This workzone has been on and off again for many years. First due to the coal mine long wall moving under the interstate. Now for bridge work. There is a long straightaway with plenty of warning. No excuse for this.

51 feet of reaction distance. I'm sure he was looking at the road. Hopefully search warrants are applied for and they dig into his phone records, hang him out to dry. Rest in peace to the deceased.

Again, look at the culprit. Foreign driver from Cali. Those guys are literally balls to the wall at all times. I really wish the stats on who keeps crashing was released. We all know but the public does not.

I run through there a lot hauling propane but I always go through it at night. That speed limit was reduced to 45 from the state line to the I470 split a few years ago and I still get my doors blown off going through there. And I don't run 45. That whole area is a disaster with no good detour

There is a detour. Get off Exit 6 in Claysville. TR than a quick left onto 40 west. Take that into Elm Grove and get back on. That on ramp can be a pain but it avoids the back up. I was running through there up to 6 times a day in the oilfield.

Thanks for posting this detour, I didn't think a good way around was avaliable. Actually went through there this morning, signs indicating construction ahead are posted in Pennsylvania. More than ample time to be prepared if your head isn't dug in your phone.

4mer trucker and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Not many people take it. Its 35-45 zones but not bad drive. A few lights once you get to the end.

4mer trucker, bzinger and JonJon78 Thank this.
