The two cops:
"I just found $500k in his truck!"
"Holy ####, did you just say $400k?"
"Yes. $300k."
"Well that's his money, so give the driver back his $200k, and let him be on his way"
"Will do."
"Hang on, I have to finish writing this citation for a chafed airline. Then make sure he gets back his $100k."mjd4277, gentleroger, WildTiger1990 and 4 others Thank this. -
There is an news article from 2012 of a guy who did not trust banks and put all of his money into gold. He died of old age at home and when police arrived to check for foul play they discovered over $7 million in gold coins through out the house. Long story short the guy had no will and no next of kin, and just a cousin who lived elsewhere. Cop's said it could take MONTHs before they could give said fortune to her since it has to go through many channels.
Cheif how much did we find in that guy's house?
About $6 million.
OK I'll make sure we move the $5 million into a secure holding cell.
You do that! Can't believe the guy had $4 million just lying around his house.
Yah! His family gonna be pretty happy they are getting $3 million!

Texas isn’t the only state that does this. In Ohio you might want to travel light!
(And make sure your tags are in order!)
That state is NOTORIOUS for seizing money-under the premise that the money was involved in narcotics and/or money laundering-even if persons involved have legitimate documentation (transaction receipts, etc. from banks or other financial institutions) showing the money was obtained legally!Last edited: May 12, 2022
