Do i need new clutch with throw out bearing replacement?

Sounds more like a clutch brake to me...

But if you do tear it all apart, may as well replace everything while you are there.

 

Clutch brake is the reason for the wait time to put it in gear.

How often do you grease the throw out bearing?

I don't know of anyone whose ever just replaced the bearing, they've always put a new clutch in.

 

Anytime you need to separate engine and transmission you are already paying labor so the extra parts are worth installing if you have some miles on them.. also a good time to check rear seal for leaks .. I’d try clutch brake first as suggested above..

 

Are you keeping the truck for awhile? If so, do clutch WITH installation kit, and rear main seal.

But as stated above, the delay is the brake. Either it's worn out, or the clutch needs adjusted. It can be cut out and replaced without pulling the tranny.

That's inexpensive, and a good second step. If the chattering persists, then you can do the clutch. If I were in your shoes, I'd do it in this order:

1. Adjust clutch correctly. (Not linkage)
2. Replace brake.
3. Drop tranny and do everything.

 

the chattering noise, "could be" the shock springs that are mounted in the clutch plate.

it's best that since it'll all be apart, to replace the many things, others have said. it's a good "insurance" hedge against having to take it all apart again, and pay double the labor costs. the entire parts replaced can be warranted better. also too, you'll have peace of mind for many more miles.

 

Aside from the brake or adjustment being the issue if it is the bearing then other parts won’t be far behind

Very randomly I will get a squeal when letting the clutch out.
Not like a metal sound but more like a belt like the sound of engaging the mower deck on a riding mower if that makes sense
Or a heavy person on a kids go cart

This is a new ( used ) truck I recently bought and I’m not sure how it was maintained

When I get home I’m planning to take it to Peterbilt for a harness replacement and just wondering if any have an idea before I get there

It doesn’t do it all the time and when I accelerate I don’t notice any revs or slippage

Truck only has 360k on it now. A previous truck I owned I sold with almost 700k on the original clutch but have no idea how the previous owner drove

 

Sounds like your pressure plate isn't adjusted correctly to your clutch brake. The chattering is probably your TO bearing, but I have seen a noisy clutch quietened after an adjustment.

The TO bearing is made onto your pressure plate and not serviceable. If you replace the pressure plate, you also replace both discs and intermediate plate, resurface flywheel, and new pilot bearing.
