    Know thyself

Inner city Chicago man, have you ever taken the time to sit down and ask yourself:

"What causes me to have such touchy pride ?"

Other people have thought about this. In fact, there have even been studies done on it.

Wow.....I remember hearing about it when it happened, then nothing.

One guy dead, one gonna rot in prison for a few minutes of stupidity.

    What a waste.

I'm just wondering were all the people that were outraged with the guy on Colorado's sentence being way too long, when this is twice as long...
At least he only murdered 1 person instead of 4.

I think the difference is this was a homicide. Not an accident. Granted. That idiot should still be doing a lot of time in jail. IMO

    Really?

Two completely different situations. Not even in the same realm of each other. One is outright murder. The other a person unprepared for to the job he was doing, compounded by stupidity, and more stupidity. One with intent, the other without.

So murdering someone isn't the same as murdering someone. Gotcha!
And let's not forget, that's exactly what the guy in Colorado was found guilty of. Intentionally murdering 4 people.

    Different jurisdictions,different rules applied.
In Colorado you have a driver that had a lack of training(or practically none) in mountainous terrain that didn’t know what to in case of brake failure.

In suburban DuPage County you had a hotheaded tow truck driver that intentionally shot at someone on a highway(premeditated murder). Decades ago DuPage County would actually hand down the death penalty for such a crime so the tow truck driver is actually getting off easy.

either way of anyone's opinion thus far, justice was served, and the truck driver's family has closure.

i hope the idiot dies in prison.

    Grouch Thanks this.

There’s murder, where you intentionally kill another person, and there’s manslaughter, where you cause a person’s death but with no malice aforethought.

    The difference is intent.

Wasted Thyme, Grouch and mjd4277 Thank this.
