Exactly which o/o is working for 1.80?
Better be a driver than to work for that

If an owner operator can't afford to pay him self a decent wage with one truck, how is it these carriers and or mega carriers can afford drivers as well as the maintenence as we all know company driver is beating the #### out of company equipment?

Are trucking companies/brokers ####ing/stealing that much from owner operators?

    Direct shipper contracts.
Low equipment financing. Some megas own the dealerships themselves. Buy direct from manufacturer then resell in 3-5 yrs for almost what they got from the manufacturer.
Cheap fuel provided by truckstops. Big discounts
    Investors Money.

The brokers and companies paying per mile are making off like bandits right now I'm sure. We keep hearing the excuse inflation amd everything in the stores are rising because of shipping costs yet we as drivers now that money isnt being passed on to us

If what you’re doing isn’t working: first step forward is to stop stepping back/

If you want to be more successful: go out and get it. It’s there for the taking.

Big companies do not pay for insurance as they are self insured. That alone is a huge benefit and helps them run cheaper.
