Decided to crap itself - main question - anybody familiar with these units, can point me to a similar unit that uses the same 16 pin block plug in?

Don’t want to mess with reworking wires to a different setup.

It only runs two older Rockford Fosgate speakers and an aux in (can be front or back plug in).

    Let me check that out.

All I found was Amazon with a ‘DSX’ prefix unit, fuse on side instead of below plug.

Check Crutchfield to see if they make/sell an adapter.

If you cant find a pigtail adapter end, you shouldnt need to replace the whole wiring start to finish, just devise your own for where the radio connection is.

find a headunit brand you like, then put female spade ends (insulated heatshrink around the ends) on the truck side then put male ends on pigtail that comes with your new unit. If you clip it back about 4 inches you can reattach the stock pigtail

Crutchfield as someone above mentioned would be the place to start a hunt though
