I have a Tank Vehicle and Passenger endorsement, so far, and a CDL B. However, I am able to get a School Bus or Hazmat endorsement but would like to see what others recommend.

All of them... Minus passenger and school bus.

Hazmat is a personal decision in my opinion, I dont want that hassle. But it does open ALOT of other opportunities, I could use it in my current position if I wanted too. But as I said, I have ZERO interest in hauling Hazmat.

    What he said.....

and also....that in post #2, above.

Basically, the more endorsements you have, the more potential opportunities you have.

Those endorsements open A LOT of doors--to the better money-making opportunities.

And the tests/exams for them are not really hard, either.

    Think about it.

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.......

Get doubles/triples, it's one endorsement. The tests are easy. The endorsement never expires. I've had HazMat since I got my CDL. I would only get it if you want to use it. It's about $200 or more, a couple of trips to the driver license office and weeks of waiting on the govt to do the background check.
I think School bus/Passenger bus will require a new road test. I don't know if it expires. I wouldn't want to carry people. The people in cars are already more of a PIA than anything else in the job. I'd collect aluminum cans for a living before I carried children or people for a living. School bus pays very little and has too many hassles. No Thanks.

EVERY CDL driver should get Tanker. It's required for certain freight carried in vans/reefers. Tanker IS NOT just to pull tanker trailers. Tanker is the best segment of trucking.

    kemosabi49 Thanks this.
