This might not be the correct place for this question but.....

So I recently got a 2023 Volvo with the thermoking apu. Now that I looked, I see that it has a little bunk heater. I'll post a picture of all the controls I've got. No matter what I do, I can't get the bunk heater to do ANYTHING! When I push the left button to turn apu on and move left knob to heat (right), the little light flashes for a few seconds, then stays solid but nothing happens. I used to have a freightliner (no apu) that had a separate little controller for the heater. This truck only has the apu controller, then there's the control panel in left of pic. I've even used the left panel to select "heat" then on but nothing. Am I just missing something on how to turn the bunk heater on?

The picture shown does not show the fan in on position.
    Try turning the fan up.
On my international there is a dash switch that must be in the on position for it to work.

if its like mine....the fan switch has no bearing on the heat...its for the fan/AC only.

Likely a clogged fuel line and filter is my guess.

That's alot of what I read, but this truck is brand new. I got it with 2k miles. But I suppose if it was sitting for a while that's possible. So am correct that it should work simply by turning the left knob to the right and the middle knob (temp) to the right?

Pretty much yup. And you would be amazed how fast those lines and filters gum up. Gotta turn that thing to max heat for about 20 mins or so at least every 2 or 3 weeks to clean the fuel out. Best time to do it is when your going inside for your morning restroom break/shower/coffee so your trucks main AC can overpower the heat.

One video on the YouTube said that you actually use the Volvo control panel (left in picture) to control the bunk heater. That didn't seem correct to me. Tried that too and nothing.

Yeah from the (very limited) instruction card for the thermoking, it says that the fan switch has nothing to do with the heat. But following those instructions hasn't worked either.

I never had lucking getting the same panel that makes the bunk air conditioner blow cold air to blow warm air. I had to use the seperate Webasto control to turn on the fuel burning heater. The Thermoking panel with the fan speed, temp control, and the A/C, air, heat setting doesn't produce heat, just airflow .

    Sixela918 Thanks this.
