. Sitting while bleeding money on fixed costs is not a good tactic. If a Truck Cant support itself, it should be sold. Mediocre rates are the overall norm. Anyone that cant make it on today’s rates might as well hang it up now.

The only remaining question is how long before it needs to be sold.

For instance, if I were to sell mine in May 2020 - when the rates were much worse than they are today, I'd regret it 2 months later, not to mention that a year later I'd be completely devastated knowing that I should have kept it.

It is another tough question, how long can someone tough it out, or should tough it out or is the toughing out effort worth it. No formula for that. Intuition only.

Till all the money made and saved in the past is gone , and all the credit available is either Maxed out or cut off. Having big Truck and Trailer payments becomes a trap. Using more available credit as the only option, since you’re screwed already. Prolonging the inevitable. Being upside down, even voluntarily turning it in will ruin credit, possibly result in a Judgement for the balance of what’s still owed after its auctioned off. Bankruptcy starts looking real good.

If only We could read tomorrow’s news today. I’ve parked mine for 3-4 months quite a few times. It costs money. Things are changing fast, as usual, equipment prices are dropping. The get rich quick crowd is going broke. I don’t think they even know it yet. 2-3 bad months is one thing. 7-8 is another. The snowball effect is just starting. Already in motion, it accelerates quickly. Those of Us that are in for the long run just have to wait it out, and try to survive. Another .20-.30 cpm drop in rates, or $1.00-$1.50 per gallon increase in fuel, and it’s over. Repos galore. 1-2 yr old Trucks selling for half the original cost.

Rates INSIDE THE COMMUNIST STATE are barely above $3.

The time is nigh to reap the whirlwind.

I've sat more during this current trip, and specifically after delivering INSIDE THE COMMUNIST STATE then waiting for this load out, than I have in ohhhhhh.................I think since I started at Landstarve 5 years ago.

    Truck 2 is the same.
    OR
You can pull some stuff out for free.

I said the same thing the other day. Beer was cheaper than water. So I had beer with my supper.
