    Hmm.
I just realized it’s almost 7:30 and the bank lady never called me back...
Guess she don’t want me to pay off my trailer 2 years early...

Only think that is decent at the iron skillets now is if they have the breakfast buffet back.

    Rest, leave it alone.

I feel the same. Corporate used the virus hoax to kill The Skillet.

The grills are ready to go mobile, agile, and hostile against unsuspecting snowflake groups.

There are three Iron Skillet restaurants on my routes that I still stop at.

The buffets are gone, never to return.

Any Iron Skillets you come across that are "closed for remodeling" are being converted to IHOP.

I agree that none of the chain restaurants are as good as they were in the mid-1990s.

I was fortunate to be over-the-road in the last years of the 76 Truck Stops. A lot of them had good food, and I'd be eating at the counter and listening to the old hands gripe about the chow.

"Whaddya mean? I think it's pretty #### good!"

"Maybe 15 years ago, kid, but it's all going to #### now. TA bought 'em out."

There's still some good eats out here, they're just harder to find, I guess.

I can't dwell on that now. I got a bellyful of pulled pork from Smiley's at Fuel City, I'll be headed back to the terminal under cover of darkness to pick up a preload that delivers in ZOMG-anesville OH tomorrow night.

Even though one of my senators, and Sleepy Joe himself, sent me emails basically affirming their commitment to crush my Second Amendment rights for the sake of the children, I choose to keep my mind on barbecue afterglow, cat videos, and high-paying loads.
