First batteries last a very very long time.

second I would like to see the footage of the self driving cars from ford and GM, many accidents that they caused come with a non-disclosure agreement with a settlement check.

third engineers are there to solve problems, they are not product planners or know what’s going on in the front office. I read a few former tesla engineers speak about their time there but they sound like they were not happy people to be gone with.

Batteries last for a certain amount of cycles, not time.second the mining for materials for batteries is an environmental catastrophe, the rocket and s a success the truck has yet to be revealed

That's old battery tech. NiCads had cycle lives, but lithium batteries and their many types have a life span which may be impacted to some by their usage and storage. Somebody had said that new batteries are so much better, but the thing is, more and more we're seeing improvements in processor and usage efficiency than batteries. We're near the theoretical limit of battery storage technology and it's still vastly less dense than liquid fuels.

Can't wait to see the first truck-sized lithium battery fire. It ain't gonna be pretty!
