Then I don't understand what you're asking. The US has more mass shooting events in total or per capita than any other developed nation. If you believe that statement is untrue, then you need to provide some kind of evidence. I've provided several sources to back up my claim, it's time for you to do the same.
I also find it hard to believe that you read all 4 links in less than 5 minutes.

Does the 2nd amendment not start with "Well regulated"?
Have states that expanded sexual education and access to contraceptives had an increase or decrease in abortions compared to states that restrict abortions? -
what changed? That is the cause of the issue. Fix what changed and please for the love of god stop saying banning all guns will stop mass murders. “ Shall not be infringed “ still applies because any hurdle I as a law abiding citizen have to pass through it’s infringement. Make it harder for the idiots not me.
laws such as “ if you think your a cake than we need to put a warning on your record that your a fruitcake and unstable.”
let’s start with laws that actually go after the unstable people.
I just can’t blame an inanimate object for failures of society.Last edited: Jun 5, 2022

Background check indeed happen. My CCW involved a Interpol background. Just like my Twic card and Hazmat endorsement. And that background check is done monthly.Big Road Skateboard and LoneRanger Thank this. -
Or I could point to wesslinger auto sales, which functions as a de facto gun dealers but does not do background checks.
Or badger guns
Or, or, or, or...
Getting a gun without going through a background check is easy. -
You know what also existed 50 years ago? Minimum wage that you could raise a family on.
You know what existed 150 years ago? Laws that prevented carrying of weapons. Almost every state and locality had laws on the books restricting who could own and/or carry what type of weapons.201 Thanks this. -
This idea that controlling guns will stop violence in this country is so misplaced and tragic in that it diverts attention from our real issue. We have a mental health crisis in this country. Once we recognize that and take measures to address it, only then can we make inroads. And even then it would take time.
It must be very difficult growing up in todays environment. Two sided politics with only a small minority even trying to find common ground. The breakdown of the family which is needed to support young persons growing up healthy. 24/7 yelling at each in the worst possible terms on cable and social media. The acceptance by many of criminals over law enforcement.
We either find a way to unite and take steps to fix what ails us, or we go down.jaffles, 201 and RockinChair Thank this. -
Here’s 50’s commercials for kids. Id say the last great generation where majority had common sense.
as far as 150 years ago, people still owned and carried rifles and hand guns. Certain localities did have laws preventing such things yes but that didn’t mean it was illegal to own one or ever had a hard time getting one. Reason why this will all be settled at SCOTUS level.
Case in point.
In 1921 I could legally purchase a Thompson Sub Machine Gun for about $200. Yes this was available to the public.
so to say some places had laws preventing the carrying of firearms. Is wrong because you could still have a rifle on your horse and ride in.Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this. -
Ya know, we can go back and forth all day on possible solutions, and maybe even agree on some things. But none of any of it matters. It all comes down to the clowns on Capitol Hill doing something. And they're too busy trying to get re-elected. That, and you have a powerful gun lobby that will oppose anything they deem an infringement on their rights. On the other side, they wanna ban everything they disagree with. So any hope of any type of compromise is just about impossible.
What pisses me off is we are supposed to trust that when we send our kids to school, that they'll be safe. And here lately that's not happening.
We're told it costs too much for things like security systems, and security guards. But yet we send billions overseas to help fight wars that we have very little business getting involved in.
But I still maintain that armed guards at every entry point would at least help. I also maintain that we need to go back to the model of smaller schools. These big behemoth school systems, while they may offer more opportunities for students, can't possibly be as safe as smaller schools.
Our local school district, which totals about 2000 students, was recently considering merging with another smaller district. That district totalled about 1200 students. Financially it made sense to merge. The problem was the decades long, not friendly rivalry between the two schools, which would have presented security issues. I think in the long term it would have worked out, but the parents stuck together and killed the plan. Literally the only ones in favor of it was the teacher's and the administration of each school.201 Thanks this. -
All you've shown is total homicides or some other metric that isn't the total number of mass shootings on a per capita basis.
As for the 5 minute claim, it's called skimming. You might want to learn the skill so you can find that the information asked for isn't provided.
