What fun would that be? He's on one end of the doom and gloom spectrum and balances out all the ones who don't think anything is wrong and that things are just fine and dandy.
The rest of us can apply what the lunatic fringe on both sides claim is truth, use what we can of it, and move forward.
    Balance, in all things, balance.

Look all other trades don’t lower their rates on a whim. We don’t need to. You state your rate, if they don’t bite you have down/slow time. Go on a vacation or refit equipment. No big deal. If you can’t survive without running into the ground you may be a amature and aren’t gonna make it anyway. Unless you have a minimum of hundred thousand in the bank with one truck you have no business to speak of. If you have a small fleet you should have more. This is a business and not a hand holding kindergarten. If I am still running for 3-4 a mile Reefer there is no reason anyone else can’t. If van doesn’t pay right now, think out side the box go niche or shut down and take your your grandkids fishing. Too easy. This is going to be a rough road until politics and attitudes of fossil fuels change. Adapt or get out. It’s ok. At least they aren’t going to send you to Afghanistan… we’ll for now anyway.

I just looked on ITS for flatbed loads within 120 miles of Chicago for today or tomorrow... Over 1000 loads listed.... You either gotta be overly picky or just wanna complain if you can't find something out of that area!!!

Quit worrying about van freight and load your wagon!!! :violent1:

New driver here. So is it better to wait until fuel crashes and rates go to the moon?

I'd say it's better to stay a company driver if you are one right now.

Rideandrepair, CAXPT and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

What did they do? Around here the cops would have moved on it if only because they wanted to keep from having a brawl started at the scrap yard. One way or another we would have got our trailer back.
