Well, I'm on the home stretch. CDL will be in hand in a few short weeks and I'm starting to work on putting out some applications.

I figured I'd drop in and get some company suggestions. Slap that endless knowledge on me @Chinatown!

I'm in the Dalton, GA area.

Prefer an assigned truck, parked at my house.

Strongly prefer a manual transmission. (Bonus points, if it's attached to a Peterbilt)

    Passenger/Pet friendly is a plus.

Currently, I am looking at Rosedale. TCW is also on the list, even though they meet literally none of the criteria I set forward...

Most OTR/Regional companies let you park the truck at the house.
    Do you have endorsements?

Haven't done any yet. But, I was planning on taking the tanker, doubles and triples endorsement tests at the DMV, when I take in my certification.

Wasn't specifically looking for those jobs. But, better to have and not need, right?

    USA Truck – Capacity Solutions
    Pet/rider/trucks run 70 mph
Eventually; maybe 6 mos., can qualify to dispatch yourself from USA Truck's load board. This way you can choose your loads and run where you want to.

Parking your truck at the house means yo have to waste time during the week sitting while maintenance is done to your truck. Are you 100% sure you can park a truck at your house or are you just assuming you can? Over the years new drivers have assumed they can park at home because they have enough space, or they once saw a semi-truck parked in the area, etc. Some cities don't allow commercial vehicles to be parked in neighborhoods. MOST Home Owners Associations prohibit trucks being parked in neighborhoods.
