I bet the toggle was made of a twisted piece of flat metal, wasn't it? I believe it was KW who used to put them in the top surface of the dash, but could be wrong on that.

Interaxle lock? Not too much of an issue just tire wear.
diff lock? He really just liked ####ing up eh? That’s a lot of wear for no reason. Bearings and gears are not cheap.
I leave my power divider locked in the winter time constantly anymore. Mainly because this pos won’t lock if it’s too cold lol. -
Does the diff lock (mine is labelled tract control lock) have its own fuse? If so can you pull the fuse and never use it? I haven't used it for 5 years and it's throwing a warning light, which I am confident is a wiring issue, so was thinking of just pulling the fuse.
And just to confirm " Inter axle Diff " is the same as power divider (locks front and rear axle together) -

Pretty sure he just has a power divider lock on. It’ll chew up a tires abit more than normal but not the end of the world. An actual dif lock will eat the tires up quicker and tear up the equipment if you’re leaving them on all the time. It’s meant for slippery surfaces if you use it on dry road you create a lot more tension on the differential cause both tires want to go the same speed cause of the lock but when on a curve or making a turn one tire has to rotate less than the other. You will know if it’s an actual dif lock if when you make a sharp turn the truck will bob more violently. You can get away with using it on dirt roads cause a tire will slip easier on dirt or gravel than a regular asphalt road but it will still wear out your tires quicker if you’re not just crawling.
