I would have driven it...... wearing a white Tyvek suit..and taken it straight to the blue beacon. I'd have pulled in, opened the doors and said have at it with the hose

It was probably late 1999 I left East Brunswick Nj with a new hire (female). Running out of the Somerset Pa small drop yard we had at the time. Took her to the truck she was assigned to at the yard. Drop her off and make sure she can get in truck and to see if it would start. She comes running up to my truck crying. Says come look at what the other driver did. Poop chicken bones maggots flies it was really nasty. Trash piled up to the passenger side window on an international flat floor cabover. Told her to call dispatch, she calls in and they tell her to clean it out. I said hand me the phone. She was real meek trying not to make waves. I get on the land line, and I TELL dispatch. This is what's going to happen. You will put her in a hotel tonight and tomorrow you will either put her in a different truck or have this one cleaned. They said no way. Told them I was going to bring her back to terminal. They said is it really that bad? I said worse, unreal I said. They put her in the hotel, and I gave her my home phone number, said if they try to reassign you that truck to call me. Never saw or heard from her again. Truck was on hook when I came back to work that Sunday. Asked the driver where there were taking it to, and he said scrap yard. It was that bad.

I’d retrieve it, but it would be swinging on the back….

Dirty would be saying something nice about it. Worst thing I ever say in my life. Mid eighties I was putting cable Tv and southern bell under roads. Was using a bore machine to push four inch black iron casing under highways. Hit a forced sewer main during one of my bore shots. Had to go into the sewage to retrieve my equipment and it was not as nasty as that truck.

Every uhaul, penske, or ryder truck I’ve ever rented looked like that. We affectionately call them “armpits” for that reason.

Im sure you’ve seen it and if not one day you will but this is the same type of person who will be sitting on a toilet in the Truckstop bathroom while he has a Egg McMuffin sitting on the floor

This behavior is similar to that tv show hoarders some of those people had crap, urine, rotten food, rats, maggots, flies...etc. All over their house, everyone of them probably had a plethora of fungal and bacterial infections going on.

Picked this little bread delivery truck up and delivered it in South Carolina earlier in the year. This is the kind of stuff that makes you not trust folks…..
