I have a question i just obtained my cdl permit but i got a speeding ticket february of 2017 and the major flatbed companies want you to be five years with no more than three moving violations I was doing 94 in a 70 on the interstate. February of 2023 will officially put the ticket at six years would i have a better chance of just waiting the seven months and reapplying at the major flatbed carrier of my choice
I need advice

Why were you driving at that speed?

I’d apply and see what they say. It’s all how their insurance is set up that dictates their rules on that. Heads up, even tho it is just one infraction, which is obviously less than three, it is for 15 mph over which sometimes they don’t want any of. It’s free to apply, if they don’t like it worst thing they can say is wait a few more months for it to drop off.

Then you are fine. Very few companies that hire with no experience even care about anything older than 3 years.
Once you get that 1 year experience everyone wants, it will have dropped off anyway.Tmocha29, Keepforgettingmypassword, BennysPennys and 1 other person Thank this. -
