They go by our shop couple times a day. They run up to MI windows in Gratz.

They use all the nanny tech you can imagine. Some of their drivers must be terrified of losing their jobs because I follow them pretty often on Route 25. They NEVER exceed the speed limit. There's places on that road where it's beneficial to use gravity to your advantage to get up the next hill. They will not do that, and they're usually crawling up said hill.

I talked to their recruiter not long ago. He had quite the chip on his shoulder when I asked about all the nanny technology. He basically told me 'we only hire the best, this technology weeds out those undesirable, unemployable wannabes'. I respond with 'if you only hire the best, and don't trust them, why would they stay?' He actually hung up on me!

OP, if you can tolerate the nanny tech, the hand holding, I DO think they are a pretty good outfit. As I said, I see their trucks daily and the drivers do seem happy. And the equipment is newer and well maintained.

My buddy's Dad was with them a few years ago. They offered him a local job. He ran up to PA to pick up a day cab. Supposed to be local runs up and down I-81 in NOVA area but they'd constantly have him staying in hotel rooms running basically regional out of a day cab. He quit faster than he got hired on. But I still see there trucks everywhere up here holding up the left lane. For an hourly gig, they sure are scared of slowing down for traffic.

I would have to make $32/hour at 60 hours a week in order to get the same weekly pay that I am seeing driving CPM. No thanks. I would rather have the big paychecks, the ability to pass on loads, and the free range to take whatever route I choose in getting a load from one place to another.

    Ok, I exaggerated. It's $32 at 50 hours a week.

So does this fit all of your other needs? If you're going to be home daily and/or weekly, and make good money, it may be a small process to pay. I don't really know. I'd say give it a shot. If after so long it doesn't work, then maybe therea better fit elsewhere.

You're not counting all your hours or you're really bad at math.

Huh? Counting all of what hours? I am talking about a hypothetical job that pays hourly.

Do your big money CPM job is not real?

    What are you talking about?
Your reading comprehension is in need of real work. If I had a job getting paid hourly, the hours that I am working at my current job become irrelevant. Typically jobs that have an OT component are 50-60 hours/week. I wasn't calculating the hypothetical of my current job becoming an hourly position because that's never going to happen.

...and your CPM job requires you to be working nonstop for endless days or weeks. You're working many many many hours for free. Even if you're line 1 and laid up in a hotel doing your little 34 hour "break" you're still responsible for the equipment and not getting paid. Same goes for berth time. You're working even when you're sleeping and not getting paid.

And again, your math sucks. 25/hour on a 60 hour week is 1750 dollars gross. 25/hr is extremely easy to find in most of the country. Once that hourly employee punches out he's relieved of all responsibility therefore able to actually live his life and pursue the things he wants to do without worrying about something he doesn't even own.

My reading comprehension is fine. You seem to be having issues though because I keep having to ask this question repeatedly. So you tell me if CPM is so great then why won't you tell me about your big money CPM job? How much are you grossing each week?
