I will say this much about Covid. I think I caught it on June 8th. I started to get sick on the 9th. By the morning of the 10th I was in the VA ER and tested positive. On the 13th I went to a local hospital's ER and was treated. Then that following Monday the 20th I went a 3rd time to the ER this time to the VA again. I was admitted and stayed until Wednesday morning. I don't think in my entire life I was ever as sick as I was with Covid. I did take the single dose shot back in May of 2021 and had no further plans to take any more. The only thing that angers me is how some of these other drugs that legit physicians all over the world claim to have used successfully to cure Covid have been dismissed with no managed testing of any kind. Maybe they are bogus, but show us through testing they are bogus! Honestly, I don't think this is too much to ask.

Your uncle and my uncle (Dad's oldest brother) were in the same place at about the same time. Uncle flew 17's based in England on bombing runs into Germany.
He made it all the way through the war but used up four airplanes to do it. He flew three of them back to England with battle damage so extensive that they were junked and bailed out of another over the Channel. He never talked to us kids about it but when he and Dad and the other uncle got together and the whisky started to run they'd share stories with each other.. Us kids would sit quiet in the corner and just listen. The other uncle flew TBMs off of carriers in the Pacific and Dad flew PBY Catalinas also in the Pacific.
Some of their stories would make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
They were truly the Greatest Generation.
Dad was the only one that died in bed. His oldest brother was killed in a fire bomber crash after the war and his younger brother was hand propping a Stearman, lost his balance when the engine started, and fell into the prop.
It says a lot about the current generation when you remember that those guys were kids themselves. They were in their late teens and early 20s during the war. Dad had to wait until he was twenty before they'd let him fly in a combat zone so he faked his orders and flew anyway. There was a lot of that but the higher-ups looked the other way.Kinsman, spindrift, RangerMelB and 10 others Thank this.
