Just ran across the 2nd driver in as many weeks now state they wont run more than 400mi a day…this time a crete driver..i guess they’re catering to these types of drivers here now because the loads alhave really been screwed up in that direction.

Lazy. I’ll have 8500 miles for the month when I deliver Monday the 18th. All but 1200 have been oversize. That also includes 2 extended resets. KCMO-Wichita-tulsa-Wichita-Newark-Seattle-Wichita-Savannah. Long runs do help a lot though.

When freight slows they also add more time on loads so they don’t have to pay layover waiting on reloads.

Shaffer doesn't pay layover because of short freight either way. They only pay layover if there was an issue caused by the customer. Even then it's like pulling teeth from an alligator to get it paid. Been here almost 2 years and I have had $0 layover pay. Remember, these people are greedy ######## who piss and moan if you scan paperwork in at a truckstop rather than using your data to scan from your phone because scanning is soooo expensive.

And this is my pay from last weeks miles (before I decided, rather, the REASON I decided to quit)

Yep, and I didn't get paid the 170 miles for running around all day looking for an empty, and only got paid 20 total miles for going from Marietta to the lower west side of Atlanta and back to pick up a load for someone else (ran 75 miles round trip).
